One can also hope that many in the USA were driving around for the last 4 weeks on 1/8 full of a gas tank and the lower prices will spur tank filling and more driving.

Average gasoline demand was weak for about a four week period and started to rebound with the last four week average. But the entire year before this drop off was higher than last year. If the unemployment rate is not booming, it seems people were just doing whatever they could to reduce gas expenses. So lower prices...

A good hurricane season would help as well.

The electricity demand should be high here by NYC with recent above normal temps, but many of the older plants maybe on #6 oil still as NYC NG gate prices are still quite a bit higher than the hub.
