| SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 29, 2001--e-VideoTV Inc. (OTC BB: EVTV), Friday announced that it has entered into an exclusive agreement with USA Video Interactive Corp. to license its digital video delivery patent for all applications involving Set-Top-Boxes with hard drive content storage used in the United States.
Charlie Weber, president and chief executive officer, (past president of Lucas Films) stated, "Our exclusive licensing of the USA Video patent covers the downloading (caching) models for compressed content delivered to a Set-Top-Box. This patent complements our exclusive Macrovision (NASDAQ:MVSN) copy protection license for the USA."

Operations and products involving cable, satellite, DSL and broadband transmissions are eligible for licensing through e-VideoTV. All Set-Top-Box makers currently developing home receivers with caching hard drives are targets for licensing. Current industry research indicates Set-Top-Boxes with hard drive storage is expected to rapidly expand for VOD applications.

"This U.S. patent is considered a pioneer patent in the field of video-on-demand and Internet video, and has been cited by at least 145 other patents," stated Ed Molina, CEO, USA Video Interactive.

e-VideoTV Inc. has the exclusive rights to license Macrovision analog copy protection for all US VOD operators transmitting content to digital Set-Top-Boxes in Faster-Than-Real-Time (FTRT). The company believes that both technology licenses will be required to effectively deliver and protect content for VOD operations throughout the United States.

e-VideoTV Inc. will market to both operators and Set-Top-Box makers to jointly license both technologies for all caching VOD operations. Current industry information indicates that there will be approximately 1 million caching Set-Top-Boxes deployed by the end of 2001.

The company fully expects the caching model to dominate all future VOD operations in the United States and believes it has placed itself in a valuable strategic position to enhance the industry.
