I don't know which poll you are referring to, but if you look at P/C, Vix, Vin, Rydex...hard to make a strong bullish case there, most are at extreme levels (can go a bit further down, but enough to support 700-800 COMPX points from here?)

To a lesser extent, AAII (don't think that's the one you're referring too)....numbers are not exactly bearish, but not exactly bullish either...and they can spike quickly (within a week or two)...so, are a bit difficult to play..
