Oh man. You're really missing out. Sushi is wonderfully good. Actually I am a Sashimi guy. Mackerel (saba) is one of my favorites, though most ‘Mericans will probably hate it. I also like Yellowtail (hamachi), Salmon (sake), Salmon and flying fish roe (ikura and tobiko), halibut (hirame) and octopus (tako). The stuff is just too good if it is prepared properly. At my favorite Sushi bar, I once ordered quite a bit of Sashimi. The guy there asked, “all this fish for you?” I realized then and there I would have to learn how to make it myself so that I could really enjoy it, if you know what I mean. I took a class (cost me dang near $3000!) to learn how to prepare it myself. Now, I do a really bang up job and can pig out in comfort. (grin)
