Searey - I give up on MU estimates. I spent about 25 hours a couple of
weeks ago trying to figure the estimate out. But they don't give the
same numbers from quarter to quarter so someone can figure it out.
MU reported gross margin of 49% on memory products, up from 32%
I estimated a range of 30-40%.
MU reported megabit production increase of 31%, down from a 55%
increase last quarter.
I estimated a range of 40-50% increase.
MU reported memory product revenues of $511 million, up from $402.
I estimated a range of $507-$572.
MU reported a slight decrease in PC Systems sales and Other sales.
I estimated a slight increase for both.
So, the above data should have affected primarily the memory products
income. Last quarter, that income was $0.10 for memory products.
This quarter, no figure was given for net income for memory products.
I estimated memory income to be a range of $0.14-0.18. But it must
have been around 0.31. How could I have been off $0.13?? Because
no one knows how MU plays with the @#%# books! <gg>
I guess that is what makes MU so challenging. MU against me.
May the stock go to 50 by Friday!!
