Well, I am guilty of wording that badly. "If Microsoft really cared about providing the solutions that its customers want and need" would probably be a better phrasing. Win2k isnt as bad as NT, but then again admins finally got NT running smooth with SP6 and tweaked, and runs smooth (as it gets) on the minimum requirements for Win2k. More cost. MS and Intel power each other's upgrade train, which is fine. But I think people are waking up to the fact that it just is not necessary, and needlessly costly. Linux is a decent OS, and improved by leaps and bounds just in the last 2 years. I've been using it since 95, and am VERY impressed by the improvements. It may well be the Unix market unifier, capable of running on everything from Big Iron to embedded. Derek
