John, flash media will have a hard time competing with blank CD's at 50¢ a piece. You can also mention that rewrite DVDs are now around $800 and going down. Flash does have a big edge, as you mention. It is hard to stick a CD in a camera or PDA. In fact, almost any portable device would prefer flash over anything else if the price/M were anywhere close to each other (no moving parts). Can somebody bring me up to date on the % of the market that flash is taking from standard memory chips in the PC?
