One step at a time.
or
Does either machine work ?

Does your connection still work at all ?

Have you tried just networking just the two computers to verify hardware and cables without trying to bring the Internet up ? Once you have verified your hardware with a two machine peer to peer network using IPX?SPX or Netbeui (straighforward...unlike TCP/IP) then you will be ready to try the next step. Using the routers factory defaults should allow you to verify the hardware. Make sure the machines have the same Workgroup name and you should be done. You need to know that all your hardware works first.

Networking is and will continue to be problematic for many users. I am not sure if you know any good computer support people but solutions are reached much more readily in person.

I have eight days holidays and would gladly help any computer users in Hawaii with any problems they might have if they are willing to pay the airfare for myself and my lovely wife Rocks. Guaranteed top notch support, and I will buy the Mai Tai's.
