Corn fed monsters. Now that is exactly what I want. Did I tell you of the corn fed monster I almost took last year? I was way the dickens up a mountain and climbing when I heard the crashing of trees and bushes. I couldn't quite make it out. The sound was not of an animal running, but more like maybe a HUGE buck visiting or making a rub or something. I just froze and lowered myself, hoping with everything in me the buck would move my way to give me a clear shot. I sat there for what seemed ages, when finally the sound began to grow louder. The buck was coming my way. My heart started pounding in my ears, my pupils must have been like saucers. The sound continued to grow ever louder. Then the saplings right in front of me began to move-- we were near the moment of truth! My gun was up and steady and my heart was now beating wildly in my chest. I calmly put my eye to the scope through which I saw the biggest cow I had ever seen. A friggin' cow! Right up on the mountain! I let out a laugh and the cow trotted away.
