Question from a lurker...

One of the benefits of CDMA phone technology is the ability to move video through wireless media to cell phones. Verizon is converting its northeast US cell network to fully enabled video and sound and has projected 1Q02 for completion.

What's to stop National Public Radio, or Bloomberg, or Rush Limbaugh from selling subscriptions and feeding the signal to moving cars via their cellphone, with technology many users already see as a necessity? No satellite needed.

re: Bloomberg radio. I travel up the NY State Thruway and out toward Utica twice monthly. NYC Bloomberg 1130 is clear up to Coxsackie, and static laden north /west of there. In another direction, up 684 and onto 84, the signal fades in and out with the terrain, but resumes around Waterbury. In NJ, I get a clear signal down to Flemington and Manalapan.

Thanks for any help, back to lurking...
