A Good Habit to Acquire
or
Post to people when you are talking to/about them.

This keeps lines of communication open and clear.
I also rigourously follow the rule that Private and Public communications differ very little, these are good habits to get into.

Now as to the issue of your post, it seems that you do enjoy leading with that left foot and that will be your undoing in time.

Oldtimers know that SI Members have fought management several times over the Hot List manipulation. In the early days the manipulation was caused by hype boys and unsuspecting investors were actually buying the garbage that was being punched up to number one on the list.
There have been several incidents since and the most recent tirade was launched by TLC over here, #subject-51269 .
The Hot List really does reflect the current member sentiment if you know how to read it. SI's recently adopted practice of top-loading the Hot List with the threads they want up there has not gone un-noticed. Most readers can tell at a glance which subjects belong up there and which have been put up there, for whatever reason by SI's miss-management.
If you think that this is good for a sponsor that is your call, my remark was clearly intended as a jibe.

As the new CNO (Chief Non-operating Officer) of the Ministry of Propaganda, I would like to assign some blame here.
The reason that people are hostile has nothing to do, for the most part, with your message, you are to blame.
