Hi Tom,

I have owned COHR since last Nov. and always considered it
one of my core holdings. Quality Company, good financials, undervalued,
and mostly ignored by tech traders because it is viewed more a med-tech
stock than hi-tech growth company.
Average daily volume is 75,000 shares. The last week or two it
has been trading at half or a third of that volume. Today until 2 pm
only 19,000 shares traded and the stock was down to 39 1/2. When I checked again
at 5 PM I noticed that 344,000 shares traded. I suspect that at these prices
COHR is attracting some interest.
I woulden't be concerned about competition from LU or anyone else.
Good companies adapt to any competative situation. Every report I have
reviewed on this company was very favorable.
At the last quarters report of earnings it was mentioned that the strong
dollar cost the company about 4 cents per share in earnings. This quarter
the dollar is much weaker and may add that 4 cents to the earnings.
At any rate I'm keeping the shares I have and will add more when I see some
rebound action. I believe in dollar cost averaging on the way up not down.
What other stocks do you like besides COHR?

Sincerely,
Jerome
