what's the matter, you can't handle a dissenting opinion? is your confidence that shaky?

No I don't see that as the problem. Chasing "what if" scenarios can go on for infinity. You have to let common sense intervene at some stage. There are those who say they never "gamble" with investments. My view is you gamble all the time, as soon as you wake up in the morning and turn on the shower. There is risk attached to everything.

Is waiting for $200 gold a worthwhile risk (assuming you want to buy some)? I'd say ...given the facts we know, no..best buy some now.
