Results from wf10 study?
I've just spent about an hour digging into wf10 and I think I may have come up with some preliminary conclusions from the wf10 phase III study. (Or I'm way out in left field, in which case I'm sure you'll all let me know.)
Here are the steps of my investigation:
- searched for "wf10" at google. Many search results, followed link to catie.ca
- went to catie's site search and found "WF10 as salvage therapy" 205.211.136.4
- noticed that Dr. Andrew Badley works in Ontario...being from Ontario, I did a google search on him.
- came to a page at the Ottawa Health Research Institue on Dr. Badley ohri.ca
- noticed it was updated on Friday, so I searched for something new on the page. Noticed the following in the "Representative Publications" section:
Badley AD, Porato K, Cameron DW, Kravcik S, Phenix BN, Ashby D, Kumar A, Lynch DH, Tschopp J, Angel JB. Dynamic correlation of apoptosis and immune activation during treatment of HIV infection (submitted).
- speculated that this article has to do with results seen from the wf10 trial based on the byline of a different article I came across today which contained a sub-title of "Immune modulator inhibits abnormal T cell activation and appears to increase "apoptosis" (programmed cell death) of macrophages infected with HIV" when discussing wf10. aidsmeds.com
------------------------------------------- So, am I out to lunch...or could this be some proof that their was efficacy shown in the phase III trial?
Cheers, P.D.T.
PS. On a more coincidental side of things, I also found the following link when searching for "wf10" letusreason.org
(In this case it appears to be article number 10 from the "Word Faith" movement.)
