OT to Daryll re Yardeni,

1. Sorry for misspelling your name in my earlier post.

2. Agree wholeheartedly with ... What pisses me off
is when they come on TV with this "I am absolutely positively right" attitude.

In fact, I believe I referred to Yardeni as a "buffoon" when I first saw his Y2K related recession prediction. It was as if he felt that all software was flawless except for the Y2K bug. I guess he's never used any Microsoft, IBM or other product nor does he know anyone that has ever had to make do with the application that IT delivered. Y2K had been anticipated for more than a decade. While I didn't expect it to be a complete non event, I certainly didn't expect a detectable economic ripple.

Regards,
Ian.
