Thanks, I really appreciate the info. It always makes me nervous when I don't understand the motivation of both sides of a trade I'm thinking of doing, and I resist thinking I'm trading with an idiot with a lot of money. Your response also leads me to believe that there may be a sane use of margin (something I've avoided like the plague). Unfortunately, Scottrade does not allow this trade under any circumstances, so I'll have to find someone else. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (From anybody). ARS
