Scumbria:

Anand's already running FSB @ 133 MHz to overclock P4 while leaving RIMMs at 400 MHz PC800. According to Samsung 60% of RIMMs work at 533 MHz PC1066 already. I can't see a reason why Intel will not upgrade FSB 133 MHz and RIMMs to 1066 MHz in tandem as soon as corporate demand for hi-end computers gets back to traditional levels with stronger economy in 2002.

I still think Intel is comitted RDRAM on desktop and registered DDR for servers not leaving much room for unbuffered DDR on desktop. I would lik to see compelling movement towards unbuffered DDR on the desktp before writing off RDRAM.

PS I notices that P4 1.8 GHz is not discounted as much as previosly pfferings. Intel must see end of reduced quarterly revenues in the near future with products that trump AMD at high end.
