The only good books I have read are ones we have discussed: James Grant's two primary works, the Chernow book, and of course the brilliant "Economics & Public Welfare" by Benjamin Anderson. I liked William Greider's "Secrets of the Temple", but that's really for Fed novices. David Hackett Fischer's "The Great Wave" had some interesting data on the history of prices.

At some point, I have to dive into some Austrian economics books, but I'm putting that off. Murray Rothbard's book about the Great Depression is at the top of that list.
