Frankly, I think the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is draining too much resources from the US Department, so much so that Colin Powell has been unable so far to take a serious look on (Central) Africa... However, I believe that the current PR campaign for Africa with an exclusive emphasis on AIDS is a smart move. Powell is well aware of Americans' aloofness towards Africans' misery. Moreover, the treacherous attitude of Jewish CIA that led to the 1998 intelligence FIASCO/DISGRACE (the bombing of 2 US embassies by the French) doesn't help. (*) Anyway, the AIDS issue will likely help raise average Americans' awareness about Africa; thereafter, with Powell's stewardship, US business/political interests will be drawn in as well. As for the assassination of Kabila, although it's pretty clear that French/Belgian interests have welcomed it as a godsend, the truth is that the "Bilderberg-Clinton" Administration pulled the plug on Kabila as early as 1999.... Thenceforth, Congolese businessmen who gravitated around the fragile Kabila regime understood that Kabila got tricked by his former sponsor --somehow, Kabila was left holding the bag in Kinshasa... At that point, the French and their Belgian satrapes entered the game: they probably hinted at their Congolese stooges that, since the Yanks kept on the sidelines, maybe it's time for them to mull over some business/cooperation with France/Belgium --sorta Milosevic scenario... Savvy?
Gus.
