Reagan, the Bushes got away with it because they were liars and crooks. And they still are. Look at
the appointment of Olson. He and another right-wing conspirator tried to overthrow the Clinton Presidency.
As far as Iran Contra goes, what I've heard is that the planes from central America came back filled
with drugs. The money was used in part for Iran. A lady I swim with knew a pilot who survived a
plane crash from Central America. The plane was filled with drugs which the government collected.
Interesting gossip about Noriwega, (spelling) the former dictator of Panama. He was going to blow the story about
the US government, the drugs and central America so they put him in solitary confinement for 30 years.

We've been looking for books on the Iran Contra Affair and North's involvement with it. We've asked
a number of people. If you know of a book or books, please let me know.. -Mephisto

John starts off the show with a discussion of Bush's appointment of Elliott Abrams as senior director of the National Security Council's office for democracy, human rights and international operations.

" Since Abrams admitted that he misled Congress on purpose during the Iran Contra hearings and was pardoned by Papa Bush, I find this appointment appalling. Bush must think that the American people are deaf, dumb, and blind or that they just don't care what he does. The appointment of this man is similar to waving a red flag in front of a bull............it is becoming more apparent that Bush is simply remaking the old Papa Bush administration. "
