PCCW confirms to unveil restructuring tomorrow 2001-07-03 13:30 (Infocast News) PCCW (0008) tomorrow will announce the restructuring plan of its B2C businesses. A market source said the actual number of job cuts is 400, doubling the rumoured figure circulating earlier. PCCW spokesperson refuses to respond Infocast's enquiries in relation to the job cut, saying that it is preparing to announce the restructuring plan of its businesses tomorrow. It will send out invitations to press later today. The website of PCCW Employees General Union claimed that the move of workforce cut has been under preparation for quite a long time. Recently the 39/F and 42/F of Telecom House have been burning the midnight oil in the course of discussion for the plan. The website even said that the actual number of staff cut of PCCW's B2C should be 400 people, and it will be announced tomorrow. Yesterday it was reported that PCCW will unveil cutting 200 jobs along with the restructuring plan of B2C businesses.
