I am doing something smart. I have booked a room near the Washington Monument, and will leave in less than an hour. We will be well- positioned for the fireworks tomorrow. I used to go a lot to the DC show when I was a child, but I have never taken my son to the Washington version (he has seen them in Annapolis and New York), so I am pretty intent on getting it done.
