| Yeah, I have been less eager the last few years. When I was in downtown Annapolis, we lived next to the Naval Academy, and could go over to the seawall to watch the barge. It was pretty easy. The last time we went in Annapolis, several years ago, we stayed on the top of a parking garage, which was nice: the view was good, there was no crowd, and there was a breeze. For a few years, I ignored fireworks, since we were in Manhattan over the Fourth, and it was a pain to get to the harbor, but last year they had extra barges, and we could see some from a streetcorner in Times Square. This year, I am cutting through the trouble, setting up for an easy view....... |
