Chaz, Spinco is not essential to what Qualcomm will be in the future. A moneymaker sure, but marginal. When Spinco was first announced, many of us in the G&K thread came to the conclusion that Qualcomm and Spinco have the potential to become the Microsft and Intel of the wireless world. That thinking was recently corroborated if not validated when in one of the recent conference calls one of the senior Qualcomm execs specifically said that Qualcomm and Spinco are positioned for the wireless world the same as Microsoft and Intel were positioned in the PC world. I hardly consider Spinco's role marginal or unessential. --Mike Buckley
