Strange day for World Heart. Down .80 on low volume in Canada. Up .26 on high volume in the US. Probably a fluke.

I sent WHRT IR an email about your rumour Dan. What it is worth, here is their reply:

ear Mr. Marsh:

Thank you for your correspondence. Please note that it is Company policy
not to comment on rumor or chat-line content. As has been stated in all our
literature, WorldHeart does not comment specifically on each individual
implant in the trial process, but comments on the progress of the trial in
general. In all animal trials it is a given factor that some animals will
not survive for many reasons that are not device related and thus not an
issue.

To date, as in all pre-clinical trials, data on the implants is being
collected and studied, and upon the completion of the full trial, the data
will be submitted to Health Canada for approval. WorldHeart is encouraged
by the positive results of the trial to-date and is continuing the trial as
planned. While there is no guarantee on the time which it will take to
complete the pre-clinical trial or a predetermined time that Health Canada
will take when assessing the submission, WorldHeart continues to work toward
approval for clinical trial in H2-2001.
