Need Help from Anyone:

I purchased a new computer with no operating system. I used windows 3.1 to format and partition my 30 gigabit hard drive. Windows 3.1 formatted the HD to only 2 gigabits. I now know that is the maximum size that Windows 3.1 can format. I bought a "super boot disk" and tried to reformat the HD to get my full 30 gigabit. But any boot disk I insert will only recognize 2 gigabit and format to only 2 gigabit. My question is: Is there something I can do to either delete whats there that is restricting formatting to 2 gigabit? or allow me to format to the max 30 gigabit. I tried fdisk to remove the one partition but it didn't work.

Any suggestions will be deeply appreciated.
