Hi PW,

Iceland is a lot better climate at this time than Turkey,
a lot safer as well.

To call from Canada outside of the Country Code # 1 (US & Canada) you have to dial 011 and the respective Country Code i.e. 33 for France. They put the plus sign ahead the country code to signify it, you do not dial that one.

To call from overseas you have to dial 011 plus the Country
Code ( #1 for US & Canada, # 33 for France) Some countries might have different overseas dial codes (011), but I do
not know any offhand. It is advisable to check at the local
hotel etc. for this information.

To repeat, for Le Petit Bofinger in Paris, France one would dial 011 33 1 42 720523.

Hope this helps, have a great trip.

Alex
