Bob: The current trading price of Canadian 88 is ridiculously low from a fundamental perspective. Total market cap is now less than US$200MM, and last year's cash flow (excluding the negative effect of the disastrous 1998 hedge, which is no longer in place) was approximately US$94MM. Even with the recent decline in natural gas prices, this stock is now trading at 2-3X cash flow.

I wonder when Duke's going to step in and increase its 20% ownership. Do you remember what price they paid when they established the initial position?

Perhaps Talisman is getting hungry again? I'm sure Jim Buckee would like to have the Nova Scotian acreage.

Any other suitors that you can think of that would be interested in taking this puppy out at half the price of what it was being offered at just 6 months ago?
