thanks LG--my area is of those remote areas, the DownEast Coast of Maine, and the buyers are in the main NYC area people---bankers/doctors,NYC society or just plain "coupon clippers".
They have slowly over many years been absorbing the whole available coast-line so it is now become very hard to get.
7 acres, unbuilt uncleared(and clearing will be by law be limited ),sold for 1.5 million last week within eye-shot of my property(it will be a single home property)---30 years ago the same 5 acres could have been bought for 20k.
Plus it is an area with numerous environmental laws/and exclusionary that make development nigh impossible---i am hoping i am in an exception to the rule situation:) as i simply can't sell now--don't want to--not greed, just don't want to:) may regret, but what the heck. max
