I think time will tell what the insiders are doing. Hopefully, it is not a GMO director(s) selling their shares with inside information not yet released, that would be illegal.

There is probably another answer in that whenever there is news pending for a particular company, the sharp operators or security houses try to drop the price so that they can pick up some stock on the cheap. My theory is that they are trying to shake the tree to see if any weak sellers can be shaken out - they do this on the assumption that the market will think that bad news has leaked. This theory is just as valid as the good news theory in a market such as this..

Take a look at MGR, they are in a similiar situation, news about to break and the stock is manipulated downwards. There are posts on the MGR thread stating similiar things, like the news has leaked. I'm not sure about the news leak theory at this point, am more convinced that there is an attempt to get cheap stock as sleezy brokers trade amongst their own accounts (house to house). I wouldn't be surprised if they also use outside trading vehicles to manipulate, such as a Green Line account. Paranoia? maybe, we will see....in the next few days.
