John Stossel's June 30th program, "Tampering With Nature" was another example of his lonely effort to debunk all the lies perpetrated by the Greens and other groups allied against the way science works to improve human life.

I saw the show. Did you?

Stossel is like many who try to preach a point of view in a short period of time. He gets sloppy, like he did with the mention of EPA in the speech I commented on. In the TV show he was going along fine on the environment. Then he brings up that silly petition with the signatures of 17K scientists, you know, the one we've discussed before, and my eyes couldn't help rolling. It's one thing to post that kind of stuff on the internet. It's another thing entirely to be that cavalier with an argument on prime-time TV.

Stossel's point in Tampering with Nature can be effectively made without resorting to that hyped up nonsense. He does himself and his position a disservice.
