Videologic will also use the ET6000 in a 3D sandwich card with a NEC chip. This was mentioned in the "breakthrough" section of a good article on video accelerators in the June 24 issue of PC Computing magazine. The article say that this card has great potential for saving memory since it does not rely on a z buffer. It also rated the performance fairly high but the cost was about $285 depending on the amount of memory it included. It seems that there are ever increasing ways of using the ET6000, whose original claim to fame was the high bandwidth feature.
