Karen, I see nothing silly or wrong in mentioning that 17 thousand scientists have signed a petition denouncing global warming. And I find it astonishing that you would. If the reverse were true, and 17 thousand scientist had signed a petition claiming global warming was a real threat to the planet, it would have made the front page of every paper in America, and been repeated on every talking head discussion about global warming ad-nausea.

Unfortunately, I was busy and missed John Stossel's recent special. But I've long admired his tenacity and willingness to go against the grain of conventional liberal PC reporting. We have far too few John Stossel's involved in mainstream television reporting if you ask me. And he is no more or less a *preacher* than Peter Jennings is.

A society which is routinely presented with a biased news perspective, is dangerous imo. And our public education system is feeding an endless stream of biased information regarding a whole slew of environmental issues. So, I don't believe the issue is about Stossel's reporting, as much is it about your disagreeing with his analysis and perspective.

One last point, the internet is no more or less credible as a news source then the Dan Rather directed mainstream news channels are. As a matter of fact, I find the internet a refreshingly accurate and timely source of news. Especially, when I desire a deeper understanding of an issue.

This board and ones like it are a perfect illustration.
