Hi MH, Thanks for the great article on LCD Basics. "A liquid crystal layer acts as a polarizer, which means that it can filter out all the light waves except those that are oriented in a specific direction." As a user of polarized sunglasses I've noticed that car LCD displays are hard to see with the glasses on. I'd thought about it in passing but hadn't the information on LCDs to understand that they are also polarizers. I guess if I'm photographing something important with an LCD display, I should take my polarizer off the camera!! Best regards, Tom
