Chaz,
<< what is your evaluation of how Nokia has done against its "Commitments"? ... Nokia has failed to meet the "Commitments" on the time table so carefully laid out. >>
You are going to have to be a little more explicit to me about what "Commitments" were made about what and to whom. in order for me to respond to that.
<< I>The commitments made by any one of the 5 members of the Nokia senior management team to their shareholders are the ones that I concern myself with, as a new generation of product transitions. ... OK, what are those - as revised, or about to be revised, or to be set forth at some future time? >>
You can access the archive of conference calls for your listening pleasure here:
nokia.com
These archives get you all the way back to Q3 1999 if you are that interested.
Explicit management's "commitments" relative to shipment of GPRS handsets, 3G infra & handsets, was made in the "Nokia Annual Results 2000" sessions on January 30, was expanded in Q1 CC, and the CEO Roadshow (Presentations Archive) in May.
Abstracts of this material have been posted here and on the Moderated Nokia thread.
In a few weeks we will have the latest and greatest updates, and will be able to determine if anything has changed quarter to quarter. Make sure to tune in.
I always find it interesting to listen to Nokia and the wireless technology and li'l ole chipmaking company somewhat back to back. Gives one a pretty good sense of the industry.
Best,
