Postyle, your last post would have us believe you were not one of those "silly" people who believed it was possible for Nokia to get around Qualcomm through IDC. But your previous post history betrays you....

This is what you wrote in post #4797 on the NOK thread:
Message 13705142

Same royalty rate, sure. The problem that exists for them, is that when the same royalty rate is applied to both CDMA2000 and W-CDMA, you get two different numbers. Because the amount of essential IPR that they have in WCDMA is not even comparable to their standing with CDMA2000.

So, then the response would be (of course) "It doesn't matter if only one CDMA patent is infringed, because QCOM will charge on the whole patent portfolio."

To which I would answer, what infringement? IDCC claims they can get around it.

p.s. Did I mention that IDCC claims they will receive royalties on all CDMA2000 handsets (bi-modal or not)? And HDR as well?

Would you now agree, the recent NOK/QCOM settlement pretty much proves NOK can't circumvent QCOM via IDC? In hindsight, it really was a "silly" hope but you actually believed it.

As far as those royalties on all the CDMA2000 handsets, did you know there are already over 3 million of them sold? I guess IDC will have blow-out royalties this quarter, right? LOL! IDC hasn't even licensed most of the CDMA2000 handset manufacturers, are we to believe they are going to wait two or three more years and then pick one of them to sue? And then we will wait another ten years for the trial date? LOL!

Some things never change.
