Should every expenditure of each of us be available for the view and of the review by some faceless nameless Government bureaucrat? This is a very slippery slope. When the government sees exactly how much each of us spend it is only half a step for them to know and regulate how much spend and save and where and how and... . Is that really the way you want life?

The gathering of information is not the problem, the problem is preventing abuse of that information once gathered.
