The important point is Intel's capability to continually advance their process technology and CPU capability. This presents a steadily moving target for competitors to shoot for. Although it does confuse many consumers/users, it does provide Intel with a mechanism to improve margins on newer products after drastically reducing margins on existing products. Investors appreciate this capability too. As for overall system performance, Intel will be introducing advanced chip sets (440LX and 440BX with AGP 2) to better make use of the new processors increased clock speed. Still time to buy some Intel stock, Albert. Paul
