You asked yesterday about activities for the holiday. I commented how it was storming in Washington--big, fat drops and thunderboomers. I was so surprised when I woke up this morning to find out that they went ahead with the concert, fireworks, etc. I remember when the National Symphony refused to do outdoor concerts when it had rained that day because of potential damage to their instruments. They certainly wouldn't have exposed themselves to lightning. Did anyone watch the festivities in DC and find that odd?
