ASPs were in the toilet for some time and if you would have read Buggi's ASP analysis (as posted here on the thread), you should have been alerted. Reports about AMD losing market share in retail, a slow Athlon 4 and MP ramp and pushing back of schedules didn't help either. I'm "bearish" on AMD for some time now and I don't expect it to get better in the short-term. AMD could be in a much better situation today if management had executed better in the last few months.
