Andreas - RE: "Cirrus, anyone really surprised? (except Niceguy) If this trend continues and Palomino slips into Q4 I expect AMD to go into red ink in Q3. This points to serious management flaws IMO, looks like Hector is even worse than Jerry."

Well, I doubt many people even expected it to be THIS bad. As you said, they probably stuffed the market at the end of Q2, which means less to sell this Q. ASPs are gonna be ugly.

As you may remember, I sold my stock in mid-March, and it was at $23.5-$24, so even with the $4.5 drop afterhours, it is still slightly above where I sold it! ANd get this, I was about to short the stock the other day, and I hit the submit button, but then found out my account isn't margin activated, so I couldn't short. I wanted to get it activated before their earnings came out so I could short it, but I didn't imagine things would be THIS bad thta they warned a week before the official announcment. At least I'm not going down down the rollercoaster this time.

I hope people seriously analyze their view of AMD now. Some people had extremely positive views until an hour ago. But I bet it still won't change some peoples' view of AMD. I know because three years ago I was in the same position. Now, there is NO Athlon to save AMD and the stock community has lost faith in the company again. I'm glad I out of the sinusoidal (TM PREngel) pattern. Maybe others will make the same realization also.
