Interesting. I have seen a lot of references to the problem that these liberals want to hide from, but not that one.

There is nothing not-obvious about any of this. These people tried to steal an election consisting of over 100 million votes. You can't be subtle when you do that, and it points to why the Electoral College is as good an idea today as when it was new: Such a large scale fraud would necessarily have to take place in large urban areas, where the human flotsam can be scraped out of the gutters and made to vote again and again and again. The influence of the small states must be given enough weight to protect them against
the possibility of this urban tyranny, which they can't otherwise counter.

As long as we subscribe to the myth that maximized "participation" makes for good elective government, we will need protection against political machines that take over urban areas like some kind of Red Guard and manufacture votes to order for whomever offers them the best possibility of graft...
