| Bill Clinton was a VERY hard worker. Besides his cheating on his wife (no surprise to anyone) he was the most effective successful president of our lifetimes. He paid down the debt, full employment, peace, amazing prosperity, tremendous communicator, really cared about issues, hands-on approach to the key issues, racial harmony, industry booming, cleaner environment, total global respect, strong dollar, no inflation, feel-good feeling, made the GOP incredibly jealous, got rid of Gingrinch for us, basically as good as it will ever get for moderates. Compare that to his predecesor or his successor. No comparison. His one flaw was the fact that he and Hilary were never a truly married couple in one respect. The word is they just don't sleep together and haven't for a long time. They didn't divorce 20 years ago and instead made an agreement to stick together for the kid and for the political partnership. Dole divorced, Reagan divorced, plenty of others cheated, Gingrinch served his wife papers on her deathbed. The former GOP speaker resigned under threat from Larry Flynt to expose his dalliances. Henry Hyde the same. Most of them cheat in DC. Women come after them. Bill Clinton was just more obvious about it, though he had to lie when caught. They all have to lie about this sort of thing. Bush too lied about his cocaine use. Of course he did coke in the late 70's adn early 80's. Everyone in his circle did. But you cannot admit this kind of thing and survive politically. That Clinton lie cost us 100 million+ for Kenneth Starr. He never came up with any other dirt despite the longest witch hunt in history. And if any politician had to go through what Clinton did a lot more would probably come up. They all live in glass houses, believe me, and none of them are perfect. Except maybe Leiberman or someone else with true religious faith. And Gore and others with good-looking wives who are just so hard-working they don't think about sex. I know one woman who boasted to her sister who's a friend of mine of giving 20 congressmen and senators oral sex. She's a famous socialite and lives in DC for years. So Monica is the tip of the iceberg. Back to Clinton, though born with nothing he worked his way up from the bottom and blew everyone's mind with how successful he was. Bob Dole never stood a chance. |
