This was the strategy a while back with the "CRUSH Program," which all of us at Intel were involved with. And this is likely the strategy now. -- use the downturn to drive ASPs down, while also aggressively ramping production -- proliferate designs at all ends, forcing AMD and TMTA to spread their resources too thinly -- drive AMD and TMTA out of markets I applaud Intel. The free ride for AMD and TMTA is over. (TMTA is below $5 now. I guess they have perfected "value morphing.") --Tim May
