William T. Katz & Stan Pruss:

Thanks for your comments. The map at ABCN web site shows the general coverage area. It includes eastren China, south-east Asia, India and Pakistan. Japan and Australia are not covered. This area shown on the map represents the total coverage by both of their satellites.

If the auction price for a geoslot over the USA was near $700 million, then it would seem that the slots owned by ABCN will be less valuable. How much? We do not know. That is the reason that I brought up the question that why this particular asset was not used for collateral instead of Osicom shares.

One possibility is that it has already been used as a collateral. The other possibility is that ABCN does not own the geoslots outright, and is going to lease them from some other entity. Or, may be these geoslots cannot be legally used as collateral. It will be nice to learn.

It seems that unless we know more on this issue, it may not appropriate to use a portion of this $1.5 billion (represented by Osicom's ownereship of ABCN) as an asset of Osicom at this point.

If this ABCN thing goes through an becomes real, the value for Osicom would be the exclusive sales that they will get out of it.
