Dan:

Your my AMD/DDR friend. What do you think of AGP 8X specifications calling for 512 MBit/sec sustained data transfer from memory controller with burst rates of 2.1 GBit/sec. I wonder how fast one has to clock DDR memory to get decent Quake numbers with AGP 8X video boards. Not that I am unduely pro RDRAM but if AGP 8X hits market lets say for end of year selling season, fewer Athalons and XBoxs are going to be sold since they will show no major improvements using AGP 8X than AGP 4X video subsystems.
