What Reagan prosperity? You're forgetting four years of Bush recession after Reagan. You're forgetting the biggest national debt in history run up during RR's years and the S+L debacle on top of it which his people were 90% responsible for. Reagan prosperity is a myth. It was money flooded into the system and massive government spending (no small government at all), though he did kick all the mentally ill out of federal hospitals creating the homeless crisis. That saved a few million. Reagan was very charismatic but his programs put us into deep recession and huge debt. His charisma was the only thing that alloed him to geta way with it. Think again. Clinton paid off debt. Reagan created it to begin with. Who is ore "conservative"? I say running up hueg debts is irresponsible. You know how much we pay in interest every day for the RR debt most of which remains unpaid? It's enough to fund every social program we have. Think again.
