Yes, you're right about the Paula Poundstone case. It's really not been mentioned and boy do I have opinions about it (so what else is new?). From what I've read, her kids are adopted and foster children. I would love to know where these allegations came from and how many levels of bureaucracy they were filtered through before they became accusations of sexual abuse. I think there is something desperately wrong with American culture at this point, where parents are often the subjects of unsubstantiated sexual abuse witch hunts. These kinds of allegations are life-changing, for both children and parent. If it is not true that she abused her children, my heart bleeds for them, as their relationship with one of the most important people in their lives is destroyed.

And then there's her career as a comedian.

I'm going to do a search for more on the story.
