Well, when I've visited I've tended to avoid the foods I could identify as likely to be poor. But I have a hunch that the multicoloured marshmallow-based breakfast 'foods' are probably exceptionally vile, especially when they involve small pieces of imitation chocolate.

Agreed on the vegetables, though - I nearly always steam them rather than boil. Thankfully, as I said to Taz, overboiled glop is now very much the exception rather than the rule.
My worst English food has to be instant mash, closely followed by tinned processed peas. I suspect many people would vote for 'Pot Noodles'... if you haven't encountered them, give thanks.

But what's wrong with tinned pineapple?
