that is kind of how I discovered huitalcoche in Mexico City - we were in a restaurant that had been highly recommended to us by some natives of the city - and I did not see one thing on the menu I liked ( mind you , I'm from texas - and I know a LOT of great mexican food - and I'm not talking tex-mex). I looked over at the next table - and having a little altitude sickness and probably a wee bit much tequila at lunch - spied some great looking black bean and cheese tacos. WHOOPS ! One of the few times, I have almost thrown up in my plate ! I will just say that the translation of it's name is apropos !
